你 会 说 汉 语 吗?Nǐ huì shuō hàn yǔ ma?

Mandarin is the first language of around 850 million people. It is the official language of the People's Republic of China  and the Republic of China (Taiwan), as well as one of four official languages of Singapore.

Mandarin is one of the thirteen or so regional Chinese languages (the main other being Cantonese). Spoken Chinese is distinguished by its high level of internal diversity. Most of the regional varieties are mutually unintelligible but modern-day Chinese speakers of all kinds communicate using one formal standard written language.

MANDARIN LANGUAGE COURSES

London Languages organises Mandarin language lessons at your office or your home to make it as convenient as possible for you to develop your language skills.  To ensure that your Mandarin training course is perfectly suited to your level and learning objectives we first carry out a needs analysis and level assessment.

The courses below can be sponsored by your employer or paid for privately.

  • Business Mandarin courses for individuals and small groups
Business Mandarin language courses are designed to help you communicate more comfortably and professionally in your contact with Mandarin speaking clients and colleagues. The course content and focus are adapted for your level and needs, ranging from coping with general day-to-day situations when on a business trip to improving accuracy and fluency for telephone calls and business meetings.

  • Mandarin lessons for relocation to a Mandarin speaking country
Pre-transfer training in Mandarin is designed to help you and your family prepare for a move to a Mandarin speaking region. For beginners in Mandarin the course will provide you with sufficient language skills to cope with day-to-day situations when you arrive. For those with previous knowledge of Mandarin, you will expand your vocabulary to cover a wide range of social and business situations. The lessons will also provide first-hand information on Mandarin culture, the geography of the region, local customs, business etiquette, etc.

  • General Mandarin courses for individuals and small groups
Our General Mandarin courses are designed to help you communicate more easily when visiting a Mandarin speaking region or when meeting family and friends. The course content focuses on the situations you will encounter in a social context (travelling around, ordering food and drink, making purchases, talking about your family, etc.).
