IN LONDON – ACROSS THE UK - WITH
PARTNERS WORLDWIDE
At London Languages we want to make
everything as easy and efficient as possible for you. Here we outline the five
stages of your language course.
STEP
1 - From enquiry to assessment meeting
From the moment you
contact us, an account manager will be responsible for every aspect of your
course. We will have a short chat with you to understand your priorities and
see how we can best help. We will then send you a draft proposal explaining how
we organise our programmes with a background questionnaire and, unless you are
a complete beginner, a language test. We will also schedule a pre-course
assessment meeting or telephone assessment.
STEP
2 - From assessment meeting to proposal
The assessment
meeting is an important step in setting up your course. Typically, it is a 30
to 40 minute meeting which allows you to meet your account manager and /or
tutor face to face, ask questions and discuss the contents and format of your
programme. Crucially, it enables us to understand your objectives and gauge
your level in the target language. It is free of charge and takes place at your
office at a time of your choosing.
After the assessment
meeting your account manager will write a proposal summarising the main points
of the meeting: your level, your objectives for the course, an overview of the
content of your programme, the practical details such as the timing and the
starting date. This, and a booking form, will be emailed to you or the budget
holder.
STEP
3 - From course proposal to the first
lesson
As soon as we
receive the signed booking form, we will send you a course confirmation and liaise
with the tutor who will be responsible for your course. All you have to do at
that stage is book a room for your first lesson.
STEP
4 - From the first lesson
Your tutor will
deliver a course adapted to your needs, your language priorities, your level
and your learning style. Your training plan will detail the contents of your
course. The pace, the lesson activities and the home study will be dictated by
your priorities in order to optimise the results. Your course materials will be
carefully selected and ordered for you by your account manager.
At any point during
the programme, you can contact your account manager to discuss any aspect of
your course, whether it is how to acquire a formal qualification or to modify
your schedule. Feedback is very important to us and you will always be very
welcome to call or email us to say how you feel about your lessons. Throughout
the course, your account manager will provide regular attendance records so
that you and your manager know exactly how many lessons you have taken.
STEP
5 - Measuring progress
As
you reach the end of your course your tutor will prepare a progress report detailing
your achievements as well as the objectives for further training.
